Cup of the Month - Brazil Legender Especial Peaberry! Did you know that Brazil produces nearly a third of the world's coffee? As one might imagine, since the country is such a major exporter, large farms are commonplace in the coffee growing regions of Brazil. These particular beans from Legender Especial, however, are produced on a series of smaller farms called Sitios, known for their dedicated farmers and top-quality product. What else makes this brew so special? Well, this particular bean is a called a "peaberry," A.K.A. a special type of coffee bean that is produced when a mutation causes a coffee cherry to only produce one, small, rounded, infertile seed instead of two seeds that flatten out on one side...
