Our friends at Cafe Kreyol classify this as a "Fruity" variant of the Sweet Lily. Rather than all coming from one specific estate or region, their post-harvest and quality control teams work with a network of over 300 producers across three regions of Ethiopia to classify beans that fit those old, classic flavor profiles in order to recreate a cup that we used to know and love, since current day flavor profiles have changed quite a bit over time.
Done to aFull City (light) roast, expect a crisp, medium acidity and lovely aromas of tea and caramel. Flavor-wise, this bean is winey, sweet, and floral with undertones of mango and melon.
I’ll start by saying I love African coffee in general. I bought some Ethiopian Yirgacheffe recently and to my palette, this has a similar flavor profile. I would purchase this again.
