The Costa Rica BRT (Beneficio del Rio Tarrazu) Caracol Peaberry comes to you via a mill that is just across the river from Hacienda La Minita!
Only making up about 5% of a given crop, peaberry beans are a mutation that can occur in any coffee tree as it ages, resulting in a rounded, infertile bean with a slightly fuller body than its flat bean counterpart.
Done to a Full City (light) roast, this varietal offers a medium body strength and pleasant acidity. Expect a slightly winey flavor profile with notes of dried cherries, chocolate, and brown sugar.
