Those familiar with the different methods of coffee processing have likely heard of "washed" or "wet-processed" coffee before. Wet hulled processing, however, is a bit different! Used almost exclusively in Indonesia, this method has a much quicker turn around time, allowing Indonesian farmers to export their product a mere month after it was picked (rather than the more typical 2-3 months).
Wet hulling also mutes the acidity and brings out the body strength, highlighting that full body and smooth finish that Indonesian coffees are known for. Roasted to a Full City (light) roast you can expect your cup of Bali Blue Moon Wet Hulled to have flavor notes of dark chocolate, black pepper and cedar.
