One of the world's prized coffees, it is grown in the highlands of northern Sumatra in the Malay Archipelago of Indonesia. The plantations grow coffee trees at altitudes up to 5,000 feet and use a combination of wet and dry processing methods. The term Mandheling refers to the name of the people who traditionally farmed and processed the coffee bean.
I’ve been buying this brew for years. I’ve tried many of the different coffees at Armenos - all very good - but keep coming back to this one. Strong enough, but not too strong and the French roast gives it a nice taste.
Used to drive to the store next to the creek on a winding road in Northboro. The coffee is so good we now have it shipped where we live in NC!

Recently purchased a five LB. bag of Sumatra Mandheling Coffee. Delicious tasting coffee, however, I came home the other day and the first floor of my home was filled with the wonderful aroma of fresh roasted coffee!! I realized I had forgot to close the bag. Oh did it smell great!!
