For me, the flavor of this roast is nutty and sweet off set slightly with a hint of burnt bean in the aroma. It’s really very smooth and delicious and “Very” robust as expected with a good French Roast. Note: I drink I black so I feel like I can taste and smell everything in this coffee roast.
This is just the best coffee I have ever brewed in my home. The flavor is superior to any other bean I have tried. Robust and delicious. I drink my coffee black and this is just amazing. Seriously 10/10.
Have ordered this coffee for years - currently in five pound bags. Beans are frozen in bulk in sealed container. Next days serving, typically four measures, set in small sealed container night before to thaw. Brewed pour over with equal amount of Kenya AA Viennese Roast Roast using #4 filter and 4 cups (20oz) water. Strong but smooth coffee with great aroma.

If you find one that’s better, let me know. This coffee is roasted to perfection! The burnt taste isn’t overpowering like so many dark roasts. The subtleties from the coffee bean oils aren’t incinerated beyond recognition. Nutty and sweet, this coffee is the perfect brew to start the day.
