Cup of the Month - Yemen Mocha Mattari

The port of Mocha in Yemen has been a world-famous coffee marketplace since as early as the 15th century, renowned for carrying quality beans with distinctive flavor from all around the country. Though exporting coffee is currently quite difficult for Yemen coffee farmers due to the ongoing civil conflict, we finally have some back on our shelves for the first time in quite a while!

Sourced from the western highlands, these family owned farms choose to naturally process and dry their beans on the rooftops of their houses that are set into the cliff sides! Mocha Mattari has a unique flavor that is heavy in body with good acidity and a wonderful chocolate finish in each cup.
