Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Honey Process Koke Washing Station *NEW!*
Located in the Gedeo Zone of Yirgacheffe, the Koke Washing Station hand picks and freshly sorts their coffee cherries on the farm. The coffee then goes through a special type of processing called a 'honey process,' wherein the beans stay encased in the coffee cherries while they are drying on raised beds for twenty days. The cherries are then covered with dried parchment for an additional month.
Similar to our other Ethiopian Yirgacheffe, this bean is medium in body with crisp acidity that lends it a lovely fruit notes like watermelon, tangerine & grape. Thanks to the honey process, expect a natural sweetness in every cup!
